    CIRCULAR Inviting Learned Research Article / Paper for Next Publication of NBU Alumni Association

                                                                                    CIRCULAR

    The NBU Alumni Association (NBUAA) intends to publish an Anthology on North Bengal to explore transformations of this region in respect of   socio- economic, cultural,  ethnological, geographical and other notable Indicators. The following is a tentative list of areas / sectors to be explored by Learned Research Articles to be authored by Members of the NBUAA.

    The Members are requested to convey willingness and firm commitment to prepare the Learned Research Articles/ Papers, if necessary with one or more co-authors within  30/6/21.   The Full Article / Paper  must be sent within 31/8/21  in MS Word with bibliography and citations as per standard norms.

    Proposed Content :

    1.Formation of the Districts of Northern Bengal (1765-1992)

    2. Tribes , Castes ,Classes and Power: Ethno-cultural and Economic Aspirations of the People (1947—2020 ).

    3.  An Overview of the Development of  Science Research and Technology Innovations  in North Bengal. 

    3. Ethnic Identity of the People of  Ancient and Modern North  Bengal.

    4.  Women  in Political Movements in Northern Bengal.

    6.   A Trajectory of the growth of literacy, mass education and  basic education in North Bengal .

    7.  A profile of the growth of higher education in North Bengal.

    7. The  Hill Region  : Demography and Politico-economic  Aspirations (1947-1997).

    8.  An Overview of the languages and folk Culture of North Bengal .

    9. A Brief Account of the Archaeological Sites of Northern Bengal and Historical Geography. 

    10.  Forestry and  Wildlife  of North Bengal.

    11.   Ecology and Environment of North Bengal : Challenges and Opportunities.

    11.  The Rivers of North Bengal and prospects of mass irrigation

    13   Transformation of Trade & Commerce in North Bengal.

    14. The growth of Urbanization in the Districts of North Bengal. 

    15.  Transport and Communications : Trade Routes and Commodities.

     16.  A Historical Perspective of the Princely State of Coochbehar.

    19.  The growth of Agriculture in North Bengal.

    20.  An overview of Tea Plantations in North Bengal and industrial relations.

    21.  Prospects of industrial growth in North Bengal.

    22. The geo-political significance of North Bengal.

    23.  Protest Movements in North Bengal and Identity Politics.
